To remind myself of my product traps..
- Make something you care about - failing to make something you care about still feels worthwhile
- Make an existing thing but better - making a new type of thing and a new market is ultra-hard
- Make something for businesses - they are contactable, have money, and represent multiple users
And nice to have..
- Sell something that isn’t your product - I don’t mean sell “the big picture” like Simon Sinek would tell you to. More like the way Basecamp sells remote work… or the open source version of your paid thing would count too… Something that you’d pitch over a drink as if you had nothing to gain.
